BOTH WERE PAINTED WITH ONLY 3 TRANSPARENT PRIMARY COLORS

This was painted on 140# Arches Pad with the three primary transparent pigments. I'm hooked on them, I had a full palette just waiting to be picked up but It's rather exciting to mix the colors you see with only three colors. On the primary palette I have burnt umber which is a dark yellow or dark red and ultramarine blue which is a complement/opposite secondary color. They can be easily mixed but I have them anyway. This started out and ended as a quick painting without any drawing, I didn't shoot any intermediate photos.

Jacaranda Makawao PO 2012

It's been sunny for the past week so I'm taking advantage of it. I like painting with only 3 colors. The little chameleon on the building visited me so I painted him in. I also like painting close by the house, it's really handy, in two minutes I'm on location.
