Real Color Wheel

2 parts STAND OIL, 1/8 part Venetian BALSAM
1/8 part RAW COLD PRESSED LINSEED OIL
5 YEAR TEST,  GESSO ON RAG PAPER

15

The stand oil made it yellow, it needs a drier so it will yellow even more.

Today, 7-15-13, I looked at paint tests of 1995 for an 18 year up-date,
the best non-yellowing mediums are:
wax, damar, poppy oil, Venice Turpentine, cold pressed with damar and cold pressed linseed oil.
Stand oil didn't make the grade.
I wish we had alkyd media to compare back then, I love the way it paints.
One of my 5yr yellowing tests showed very good results.
