The yellow in the top right corner is pigment.
Venetian balsam stays almost clear over time, better then any oil.
It has a sticky pickup on wet paint but works well as a glaze on dry paint.
Still clear in 2013, 18 years later. Venetian 50:50 cold pressed oil, great gloss media.
