Kaupo Store Door, Acrylic on linen panel, 11x15

Two items were important in this painting, first is the perspective on the building, second was the texture of the screen door.  Here is a link that teaches perspective.

The second was an "off the wall" technique.  To capture the texture of the screen in the door, I blotted some color through a piece of screen in a couple of strategic places.    With acrylics it was easy, the first try was a mistake and it just wiped off.  The second try was just right and it stayed on the final painting.
