Maui No Ka Oi, Maui is the best.   It really is beautiful here.   I guess this painting is all about aerial perspective, using split complementary color oppositions.   Green and Purple make those distant colors.   The foreground opposition colors are Magenta and Green.   I smeared the cloud edges with my fingers.   See how the sky is lighter on the left, where the sun is.  If you block out the sun, the sky color next to it has more light Magenta in it than light Cyan.  An even balance of the two colors would make Ultramarine Blue.
