COLD PRESSED OIL AND DAMMAR, 5 YEAR TEST, GESSO ON RAG PAPER

13

You can't beat this combination for not yellowing. A little wax would probably feel good.

Today I looked at the paint tests of 1995 for an 18 year test, they didn't change much,
the best non-yellowing mediums are:
wax, damar, poppy oil, Venice Turpentine, cold pressed with damar and cold pressed linseed oil.
Stand oil didn't make the grade, maybe it wasn't made with cold pressed, they don't tell you on the label.
I wish we had alkyd media to compare back then, I love the way it paints.
