Learn the Real Color Wheel

Painting on Location
#16b, Phil's Fern, 22x30, Water Color, #300 Arches

I sure loved painting this water color, although it looks complicated, the drawing was fairly simple.  Only the foreground was drawn in.  The background was painted in first, wetting down each area and waiting till the sheen was almost gone, don't wet the pencil lines.  After it was dry the foreground outlines were erased.
