Makawao Peacock

Maui, Hawaii, 22x30, Acrylic

78.htm, A background can be very simple, keeping the details in the foreground makes for an interesting painting that is easy to look at. Remember acrylics are like water colors, you don't over paint an area that isn't white.  As an example, all the tree wood was left white while painting the background, then it was cleaned up before the final wood was painted in.

The peacock visited me for three days while I was painting, the third day I saw the plume. Peacocks are very loud birds.
