horizon line, the earth is a circle, the higher you view the horizon the
more curve you see. It is never a straight line. At the left
side of the painting it may seem that the curve is too severe, it is actually
viewing the Big Island that I am seeing in that area, just twenty two miles
away. The colors just happen to be almost the same as the bottom
of the clouds.
